Default How do I know when I have found THE ONE?
Hello Everyone,

I am going round and round in circles with a few names for my VA business.

How do I know when I have found THE ONE

I would appreciate any comments/feedback on some of these ideas?

The VIrtual Perfect PA

Virtually Organised

(Your) Virtualy Invisable Assistant

I'm looking for something that is fresh, but not sure if there is any light at the end of my tunnel

Thanks

Laura,

Just something to think about with "Virtually Organised" is that in the United States we spell it "organized" so depending on your target market, potential clients may think you have a typo in your name.

Laura,

I had to smile when I read your post because you could search back on me and find how I agonized over it, diddled around, pushed it aside, and then in a matter of hours a meeting came up and I did not want to go in without a business card and a company name and email so, Boom, Virtuality was born! It's taken awhile to grow on me, but now I am happy with it.

I like Virtually Organised and if I may offer a different opinion on the spelling, I think we are global, more and more every day, especially in our line of work. If I see organisation or one of those other common words that we spell differently and that I can't seem to bring to mind now, (lol), I think UK...or Australia/New Zealand. And really, (and sorry, really don't mean to offend anyone here) why are we right and you wrong? Good God, I bow to the British and their grammar, we are very sloppy in our grammar and our speech. My speech always improves in some weird way and hangs on for weeks after I spend time with friends from the UK. So my vote would be for that one! And yes, I have had a glass of wine and I tend to get chatty...lol

Laura,

Good luck with turning PA into VA. I hope things go well for you.

Picking a name is tough. I went round and round and decided on something only to find out that it was taken already. Make a list of possibilities and go to GoDaddy or some other site and see if it is taken. Cross them off your list and keep going until you find something that you like and that is available. When you find the right name you will know it.

As far as spelling is concerned, I don't think it is an issue. We used to live in London and sometimes I still have trouble remembering what way to spell things. Spell it properly for your region and be done with it.

Picking a name is tough. I worked on my name for a long time, emailed friends with my list and asked for input and their ideas. It took me about 6 weeks. But after using the name for about 6 months, I decided it was too long and too hard to remember. My networking friends always stumbled over the name so I realized it just didn't "click" somehow.

I really like Virtually Organized since it is different and creative. This name would also has more possibilities for a logo and branding. But pick a name YOU really like and seems to "click" with you. Try it out on your friends, family and network buddies.

Good luck with your new business venture.

I don't think the spelling is an issue, but before you settle on a particular name check the domains, especially if there's potentially two spellings because my advice it to purchase both versions of the domain and have one as your main site and then have the other one forwarded to the other one.
