Great idea for a thread.

I wrote down pages and pages of ideas and kept coming back to wanting something associated with saving time. I loved the sound of the word "clockwise" so went with that. Officially my business name is Clockwise Virtual Assistance but I find myself referring to it as ClockwiseVA more often than not. It is easy to remember and most people know what I mean when they hear it said over the phone - no having to spell it out each time.

It took a while to get there but I am so happy with my decision.

Back in the early 90's I started a desktop publishing business. I love dogs & when I bought my first laser printer the name Laserdog came to mind & stuck. I had a cartoonist create my fab logo. Well, things were not as digital back then as they are now & the DTP biz was a bust.

When I decided to start my VA biz, almost 20 years later (!), I couldn't ditch my great name & logo. The name may not apply perfectly, but I love it & people smile when they see my logo.

Dognose, I love your unique name and logo. Best thing about them is that they, uh, stick out.

Love to see how others chose their business name. I wrote down a list of business terms and started playing around with different combinations until I found one that I kept going back to. I knew that was the one.

I wrote down a few names that I wanted; however they were not available to obtain a LLC when I checked with our Secretary of State because they were already taken or to similar to other business names. It wasn't until having a conversation with a friend that I made a comment about getting to the "Next Phase" of life. The light bulb immediately went off and that's how Next Phase Solutions was born.

Mine was a very random thought; one that didn't take long to think of at all.

You know the saying "Me, Myself and I?" Well that was the basis for my business name.

I wanted the word 'virtual' in there (probably a novice idea so that people would associate me with the virtual world lol).

So when YOU actually say "My Virtual Me", you say it as though I am the virtual you - I hope I explained that so you can understand LOL.

When I created mine I had been working for a document storage company full time. One day when I was at work and had some time on my hands, I started thinking of a name for my business. I was so stuck and couldn't think of anything catchy, creative and memorable so I started looking through the business names that I had been working with at that job to try to get some inspiration. I wrote down some key words of the companies that stood out to me and just started coming up with my own combinations. That's when Infopoint Virtual really stuck out and I actually really loved it, so I kept it!

That's my story. lol

My business name came about because I got to thinking about my grandparents who were married for well over 50 plus years and who actually passed within three days of one another. The memories they gave me made me think about legacy's and how family legacy's are passed from one generation to the next. So with that I thought about a legacy I hope to pass to my son (granted it probably won't be though lol, but I can try) and with that it dawned on me about my name of Legacy Administrative Solutions..

What a beautiful meaning behind your business name!

It means so much more when there's sentimental value to it.

Thank you so much. It does have sentimental value to it indeed. And I never dreamt of it coming together the way it did for my business name.
