I've already decided on the business name Helping Hands VA (it just sounds and feels right for me), and now I need to figure out a good tagline.

The only thing I can come up with is "Everybody needs some helping hands." Does anyone have any better suggestions?

I went ahead and made a kind of logo/website header using that tagline:

What do you think? Too plain or just right? I was thinking about including a stylized hand somewhere in it, but I wasn't sure.

What do you think about the colors? I was thinking of using those 3 through my whole website, twitter, etc.

That looks great. What program are you using, because I need more creativity with mine.

I used Photoshop, but you could try GIMP (it's free!).

I'd love to try and make a logo for you if you want. I wouldn't charge you for it either!

Katie, I love what you've done so far. Wish you were around when I made my logos up. I am not very talented when it comes to that part of things. as soon as I heard/read your name what came to me is a pair of hands holding like the earth or even two people side by side and like handshaking or something along those lines. Gives you some more to play around with anyways. For a tagline something like help is just a handshake away or helping hands to assist you... im not really good at taglines but im sure some others through here are as they helped me a bunch.

I actually went and redid it (again). I decided that since I was going to focus on artsy people/mompreneurs, and since I would be offering some design services, I would go with something a little more "fun":


I just finished doing my twitter page . I'm really pleased with how it turned out. What do you think? I haven't started using the account yet, but at least it's pretty for when I do start tweeting.
