Before I registered my business name in my state, I did a lot of research to make sure the name was not already being used. Now I found a website (which I've searched for before but could never find) and there is a company on the other side of the country with the same name! Jennifer, Don't think I could be much help, but it seems that I am going through the same situation and I am stooped as to what to do. I have also checked to see if the other person using the same company name as me was trade marked and from what I have pulled up its not. What to do, What to do???? Stephanie

Jennifer, when I checked mine...as long as it's not in the same state (Florida), and it's not the same type of business....it's okay. Also the fact that it has not been trademarked might make a difference. I would suggest you re-check with your state's Division of Corporation before you proceed with the name.. __________________ -Jean Simplify it, delegate it.
