Default Expanding on my name...
I am just starting my VA busines and was actually trying to figure out how I wanted to advertise my area of expertise. My company's name is Virtual Brilliance. I am adding something to that; for instance, Virtual Brilliance Business Services, but I had a few other options as well. Your opinions would be great!

I like your idea as it will tell potential clients what your business is about from the get-go. You could have "Virtual Brilliance" in a larger font with "Administrative Services" underneath in a different, smaller font.

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking. You like Administrative Services better than Business Services?

Hey Amy,
I agree with Sabrina's comment above. As far as Admin Services vs Business Services, my personal opinion is that Virtual Brilliance Administrative Services flows better. There's something with the "...Brilliance Business..." combination that doesn't sit so well with me. Just my thoughts!

Good luck,
Karyn

I agree, Virtual Brilliance Administrative Services has a nice ring.

A question for you (and those who have done or are considering doing the same thing): how does this affect your domain name? Will you purchase an additional domain for your expanded name?

I agree, I think Administrative Services flows better.

I don't see why the domain name would have to change, it still includes the company's partial name in it plus it is way too long to have www.virtualbrillianceadministrativeservices.com as a domain name. Clients would lose the will to live before they were half-way through and mistakes are more likely to be made!

One thing I don't quite understand though is your website. It kind of looks as though it's a link from somebody else's site. I don't want to offend you or anything but it made me wonder...

I'm not offended at all. I have done nothing with my site at all. I just got the domain recently and am not advertising yet, so the website will be last. It was free. I'm not sure what you mean about it looking like a link from someone else's site though...????

No, it will have no effect on my domain name at all. I think that if I were to add Administrative Services it would become too cumbersome. Thank you everyone on your thoughts!

Only because there is no real information about you or your services on the site and because of the publicity for domain names at the bottom but you said that you are leaving the site until last so I understand now.
