My boss is starting a new company and has asked me to get as much feedback as possible regarding the company's proposed name. I was hoping some of you might share your thoughts.

The new company would lease (PV) solar electric systems to other companies and residences allowing them to purchase the system afterwards.

The name they are considering right now is: SunLease

What do you think? Can you think of a better business name?

The image that comes to mind for me when hearing the name SunLease is something like a timeshare or vacation rental. Personally, I would incorporate the word Solar in the name as it conjures up the right image for the business product.

Wow that is a good point Linda, we hadn't considered that perspective. That would certainly make SunLease less desirable and puts us back to square one.

Eunice, I apreciate your input and I really like the name SunPower but there is a multi-billion dollar solar company with that name. Sun Electric is the name of one of our big solar suppliers and GoSolar is the name of a California initiative for renewable energy. Part of the difficutly with choosing the company name is that many of the good names have already been taken.

Does anyone else have any ideas? Your input is really helpful.

Perhaps you can bring up names that are already registered with Sun or Solar or Power or Electric and then kind of brainstorm what isn't there or a combination. Sometimes when I visually see something it helps -- and of course love brainstorming...
