Default business name... advice please
Well, it is my turn to be asking your opinions
How about a business name: As Needed Business Solutions.
Tagline: Not enough time? Not enough hands? Call As Needed!

I will be offering basic admin services, office organizing and other services that I haven't narrowed down yet
Target market : small businesses and home-based businesses that need a little bit of help

Well, what do you think? Please and thank you !

That's pretty cute! I like it! It's straightforward and that's definitely a plus.

So I'm a newbie, so please other jump in to add your opinion/experience about this as well. Since I'm new to the virtual assistance arena, I can only give opinion based on my communication studies experience:

The only thing that I would think that may be negative about the name is that it may "pigeon-hole" you literally into "as needed" services and you may end up with spotty clients that may not stick around long term. For example, they may only call on you when they literally are short of hands or in rush, emergency situations rather than using you a resource to take some of their workload to better their business. They may not think the extra help is needed until they are in dire straits. It's almost subliminal in nature, you know?

I think that it all depends on how you market yourself. I think that if you make sure to express your worth and value and how you can make their business run more smoothly by working together as a cohesive unit, you will probably get more solid clients that will be repeat customers. Create your necessity and you will be "more needed" by your client.

That said, I still like your name and tag line a lot, just make sure that you market yourself as a necessary component and you will be fine

Thank you, Shandon!
I also thought that "as needed" part will put some limits...but then I figured as long as they will give me a chance to save them and show them that by becoming my client on a more permanent basis there will never be a problem like that anymore Just need to get a foot in the door, so to speak

Dina,

your business name is catchy and memorable. As needed could also be marketed to mean different things to different people. As needed might mean no unnecessary fees for the brick and mortar shop, no employee expenses, etc.

Best to you.

Mary

Congratulations on getting your name registered! Keep us posted on your progress. I have been following your story and I, too, am looking for low-cost start up fees.

Good Luck,

Jamie
