Default BOOK REVIEW - World Famous: How to Give Your Business a Kick-Ass Brand Identity
World Famous: How to Give Your Business a Kick-Ass Brand Identity by David Tyreman can be an eye-opening, earth-shattering book for any and all business owners, if they take the time to do the work.

This book is full not just of valuable information that changed the way I looked at marketing, but it also contains in-depth, real-world examples to describe each point made, along with plenty of detailed exercises to help readers put the tips into place for their own businesses.

Tyreman talks about how being number one in your niche shouldn’t be the goal of business owners; they should strive instead to be the only choice in the minds of their target market. And Tyreman shows you how to get there, step-by-step through the pages of his book.

The first section is all about daring yourself to do bigger and better things. Daring yourself to make your business presence known within your niche. Daring yourself to stand out from the crowd and be yourself instead of sticking with the status quo. Daring yourself to give customers an experience rather than just a product or service.

Then the book gets into defining what Tyreman calls the “superniche.” In this section, he shares the secret to why people buy and discusses how to identify your own superniche in ten minutes or less (yep, this is one of those detailed exercises I mentioned earlier). Most branding experts talk about honing in on the demographics of your niche, and he does get into that aspect, but then he takes it one step further by discussing the psychographics of your superniche, which is basically the values, frustrations and aspirations that cause people to choose one brand over another.

Another section challenges readers to discover the business they’re really in (it’s probably not what you think!) before diving into some activities to help you create your own brand identity.

Other topics include how to add value to your products and services, how to turn problems and frustrations into opportunities, and how to engage your target market.

All in all, I highly recommend World Famous for anyone who wants to be a superstar in his or her niche market.

This paperback book contains 216 pages and can be purchased on Amazon.com for $11.90.

The comment you make about the book "daring you to do bigger and better things" stands out to me. I'd be interested in reading it. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review! It sounds interesting, although I'm not sure 10 minutes or less would suffice to completely define my niche or market.
