Default Another idea - what do you think?
I plan to have my business name discovered and registered for both domain name and hosting by the end of this month...

Right now I am thinking of this:

Joyful Assistant - Virtually savvy (for slogan)

What do you think?

Yvonne

Sometimes it's helpful to emphasize how a VA is a happy administrator, compared to many 'employees' who feel oppressed. So that could be a very attractive business name!

Default Another idea - what do you think?
Hello everyone!

I PM'ed Tess not realizing she gets so much in a day, oops! No more PM's for her, from me. :0)

What do you think of this business name?

Octopus Savvy Assistant - Virtual Management

www.OSAVM.com

Why octopus? Because it represents the ability to do many things...

But I am currently working on finding a different word for "O"...

Do you notice anything about this?

OSAVM ??

It is "Oh - Save me!" So www.OSAVM.com

I like it because that is what virtual assistants is for! To help assistant others who are overwhelmed & need help in their daily business activies.

What do you think?? I think it is original and clever. I might do have to find a different word for "O" though - we'll see.

Or maybe O Savvy Assistant - Virtual Management? LOL.

With much warmth,
Yvonne

Yvonne,
I *do* get way too many PMs to be able to answer questions like this - and by posting to the boards you get the feedback of an entire community Thanks for understanding!

So - about the business name - I think it's definitely interesting...very creative; may I suggest playing around with the word/connotation of 'octopus' a bit more? I'm not sure that 'Octopus Savvy' gives the impression you're hoping for - it sounds more like just what it says - that you're savvy about octopus

It IS a cute idea though to start with and I love that you're going in a totally nontraditional direction!

Yeah, I know (about the octopus thingy)

I looked up some words starting with the letter "O"...How about:

Office Savvy Assistant - Virtual Management?

This way I can keep my "OSAVM", hehe. It has a good sense of humor too, if you think about it! Oh - save me! LoL

YaY! I might just go with that. I've also found another word, "onyx". Does that word sound like "honest"? If it does, I could use that one to send a message that they will be hiring an honest & savvy assistant.

Onyx Savvy Assistant - Virtual Management

Hmm, which is best?

Office Savvy Assistant - Virtual Management

OR

Onyx Savvy Assistant - Virtual Management?

I think I'll go with the first one simply because it keeps things simple and easy to understand format for people. But I also like the second. I'll ask my hubby when he gets home from work and see what he thinks.

When I was a child I used to have a puppy named Onyx and I loved that name.

Tess - if I went ahead with, "www.OSAVM.com", will it still come up in search engines when people type in "virtual assistant" as long as I put in the tagline of those two words??

You'd have to do a TON (and I mean YEARS) of on and off site SEO work to turn up in the first twenty pages of Google's search results for the term 'virtual assistant' - even if you buy a domain with the words right in the URL...focus on setting up a business name that resonates for you and will make good sense to your potential clients (has good marketing value) and don't even worry about the search returns for now.

How about One Source - Absolute Virtual Management... Absolute meaning "complete", therefore being One Source... Just an idea

I do like Office Savvy Assistant - Virtual Management. I just took this as a challenge to come up with something fun.

Hi,

I think it is a little catchy, but you need a tagline to go with it. Something like...

Your virtual extension to your daily needs

Consider it done virtually

I am really tired, so not thinking, but you really need something to associate it it with your company.

Why not TheSavvyVA.com?
