Bookkeeping for Virtual Assistants & Entrepreneurs

This informational chat will cover basic bookkeeping for a small business. We will briefly discuss accounting terminology, setting up and maintaining a bookkeeping system, and year-end requirements. Participants will learn the basics they need to know about handling the accounting portion of their small business.

Special guest, Lily Chambers, CPS, CQU, President of The Virtual Office Goddess, LLC is also an instructor at the Academy of Virtual Entrepreneurs (AOVE.org) where she teaches VA: 109 – Bookkeeping. Ms. Chambers has three decades of bookkeeping, executive secretarial, office management, and office support experience. Ms. Chambers holds a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) designation through the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), a Certified QuickBooks User designation through Intuit (Publishers of QuickBooks) and is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB).

Two lucky chat participants will each receive a $25 gift certificate toward registration fees for any AOVE class. Two additional participants will receive a thirty minute mentoring session each with an established VA. Lily will also be awarding two random participants with a zip-file of 5 custom Excel accounting forms she developed for basic small business accounting.
