#1 How has being a member of VAF made an impact on you and your business?

I am fairly new to the VAF, but for me personally, I think just socializing with other VAs, reading about what they are doing and how they are doing encourages me because I know others understand my business. So many people still do not understand what a Virtual Assistant is or what we do.
The VAF also gives me ideas and inspires me in my business practices. As a mom of many working from home, sometimes it doesn't always feel like I am a "professional" in the normal sense of the word. However, interacting on the chats and forum discussions help me focus on the professional side of my life outside of the work I do for clients - which, as all of you know is mostly behind the scenes kinds of tasks. It isn't like we necessarily dress the part every day or go to a fancy office, unless we've worked hard to create one for ourselves. I don't happen to have that luxury yet.
So far the impact on my business have just been the personal reasons above. I am not yet at the posting point on the forums to access potential VA jobs to have seen an increase in the amount of clients I have or money that I make. But the VAF has definitely opened doors to many resources and learning opportunities that will have a positive impact on my business in the future as I implement what I am learning.

I agree, VAF is a good place to socialize with other VAs. I was initially drawn to the forums for the wealth of information; however, I've come to realize it's also a good way to network. I've built several relationships on VAF. They have been a wonderful source of support.

I think you hit the nail on the head, when you said that the VAF gives you ideas and inspiration. In every corner, in every post.. there is always a drop of inspiration (oftentimes more like a big old pond) of inspiration to be found.
