I am fairly new to the VAF, but for me personally, I think just socializing with other VAs, reading about what they are doing and how they are doing encourages me because I know others understand my business. So many people still do not understand what a Virtual Assistant is or what we do.

The VAF also gives me ideas and inspires me in my business practices. As a mom of many working from home, sometimes it doesn't always feel like I am a "professional" in the normal sense of the word. However, interacting on the chats and forum discussions help me focus on the professional side of my life outside of the work I do for clients - which, as all of you know is mostly behind the scenes kinds of tasks.
