Why Do Salespeople Love Their Jobs?

I have sold everything from cars to copiers, from leasing apartments to selling Salon Coupons. People laugh when I run down all the companies I've worked for in the past when my attention span was not longer than 1 year on any one job, but I have so much experience in different industries, I'm thankful that I have travelled the road I have chosen.
When I was in sales, or looking for a new position, I was drawn to sales because of the freedom it allows in your day to day schedule, especially those jobs that require you to be out in front of other people all day. The freedom to leave work at 2:00 pm on Friday and pick up a golf game, or be able to be at every child game, recital, or field trip without having to ask a higher up for permission. It was the freedom to do your job however you deem necessary to make a good income. Now, the car dealership and apartments was a bit different, you have to be there to make sales, but field sales reps have all the freedom in the world, and if they work hard enough, a very nice income to match!
Salespeople, good salespeople, also enjoy being in front of other people, meeting new people, and selling themselves and their services. They love the challenge of getting a good lead or a good sale, they love the excitement of making things happen and satisfying their customers. They love the idea that every day is different and that they are not restricted to a desk for 8 hours a day and not restricted to a 9-5 schedule 5 days a week.
I admire their positions, however, really enjoy my guaranteed salary and I'm not good at budgeting for slow months where commission might not cover the cost of rent! If I have a good month, I'm going shopping, splurging and a bunch of other things that I KNOW I may not be able to afford the next month, so I decided it's best for me to just go into the assistant role and help the reps be the best they can be and maintain the lifestyle they counted on when deciding to pursue a career in sales. I realized I'm great at customer service, but really do not like to deal directly with customers on a day to day basis- I think a salesperson enjoys it so much more! I'm happy sitting at my desk all day, making the same phone calls over and over and gathering and presenting information, this is where I thrive!
I know that my assistance can and will help any successful rep not only achieve higher sales, but a higher quality of life, being able to properly manage free-time and client needs without having to sacrifice.
So, why do you love your sales position? How can I help you make it a better experience and what can I take off your plate so you can fill it with whatever your heart desires? More free time, more appointment, more naps?? It's up to you, but I'm here to help in any way I can!

Looks like you're practicing your marketing pitch and solidifying your intended target market - nice start! I've never seen 'naps' in the list of possibilities a client could take advantage of with a VA
