Social Media Marketing Impact on my Business - Blog #3 June
Posted 06-09-2010 at 11:19 PM by Nancy's Virtual Office
I am just starting my business and the one thing that I know is that social media marketing, especially for my target market, is a very important part of growing a business.
There are quite a few things to learn. I am now just finishing my Virtual Assistant programme, graduate in 2 weeks, and once done I want to concentrate on courses about social media marketing and continuing courses on web page design.
I have created my web page, my blog, a newsletter, and joined Linkedin. These are all very basic and I am still researching my target market so I can be up on what my target market is up to, what I could write that would be relevant to them and that would allow them to get to know me and what I am all about.
I really love the idea of "soft-selling" my business, which is one way I perceive social media marketing. If you write good content, people remember this and when they, or somebody they know, needs support you will come to mind.
I know I have a long way to go with learning everything and I am just going to concentrate on the 4 medias I have chosen until I am very comfortable with them. I will be quite up front with potential clients that this is still a learning curve for me but I am determined to create great social media marketing venues.
So social media marketing has started and will be a great impact on my business (and clients) as it will get me out there to the person next door or around the world.

I just really got settled in to where I am able to sit and read and I have to say - really enjoying it! Impressed with what you had to say Nancy. You say you are a beginner and it appears you have a lot on the ball - good luck! - Deb
