Hello there this is my first attempt at blogging on this forum. I hope you realise I am new at the blogging challenge but that is good because I can start the challenge to myself and any views here amongst friendly commentators...
I have been having a few issues with my computer this year so missed out on January and February simply because out of 40 days my computer was not working for 25 of those days. In between facing up to those issues and spending more time than I would like to admit on fixing it I have learnt a little about twitter and how to share information to my Linkedin account and also link in my wordpress blog. Also I recently attended the AVAC conference in Melbourne and not only met awesome VAs but learnt a great deal.
Thanks to those who organised and participated in this event. Whilst I have a website under construction I am sure that driving traffic to my blog will be more effective once that is completed.

The impact on my business has been great, I have learnt to set up profiles, network, join groups and this is my second Blog here which is amazing I think anyway....I have found so many tips and tricks and useful points of reference many times and I have found even after spending hours checking out the site I will always find something new to keep me on track with my business. I learnt early that a business plan is important and also that many people cringe at the suggestion of achieving a business plan
ut: I think all the stress
is worth it. I feel more organised and able to present myself
as an anti-chaos technician. Thanks to the VAF forum for helping me move along so fast in my learning curve!
My one big excitement apart from many others...recently was to listen and receive incredible motivation from a guest blogger: Grant Griffiths. http://bit.ly/d4NKJe If you follow the link to Grant Griffiths it will take you to a podcast of the event. To say being part of this blog appearance was fun and awesome is an understatement thanks for organising this incredible opportunity I loved it.
I must mention the TVE Magazine it is full of useful points and issues http://bit.ly/aue8dD
And wait there is more! The wonderful podcastings of Darlene need mentioning: http://bit.ly/92qUHI this episode that I linked to is about spring cleaning for your business - a very sensible routine to develop. I could go on for years I think, basically VAF has provided a supportive environment with friendly and professional answers to many issues and questions. I am happy I found this forum.

Hi Darlene well actually it is and it will definitely be on my new business cards. The term seemed quite acceptable at a business networking meet up I went to last night...it was fun actually. It made people think about what I do instead of dismiss me - in Australia the term 'VA' is not quite understood yet. So hopefully this new term will be a good 'teaching aide' if you get my drift lol...thanks Darlene

I think if you can come up with a term that makes sense and gets raised eyebrows because people are interested rather than raised eyebrows because people are confused, you are heading in the right direction. Love it!
