You asked: "If you could meet anyone from the past or present or future who would that be and why?"

I'd like to meet Jillian from "The Biggest Loser" because I need a personal trainer real bad!

It's not enough to just go to my local YMCA and work out following a book, there is something about having a workout buddy join me, that gets me to move more.

On the bright side, tonight I worked out and my 4 dd went with me (the 3 oldest worked out with me, in around about way

I guess I just need someone to yell at me (positively) to get me to see how much I really am capable of doing! Sort of like a drill sergeant

Spring Cleaning :)

Posted 05-15-2009 at 11:31 PM by marketingva
Oh boy! Well, Spring Cleaning to me means that I need to buy a large box of yard sized garbage bags and carefully open each closet in the house, because I know that our winter 'stash' of 'treasures' are going to fall all over the place.

Each item gets a new home; keep, give away, throw away, recycle.

One thing that happens to me, mentally during the Spring Clean-a-thon, is I'm reminded of the many memories of the passing season. How blessed I am have had this time with my loved ones (mess and all!!)

Success as a Virtual Assistant Is...

Success as a Virtual Assistant is freedom to my soul! Even though I'm not the oldest, wisest, most professional or sought after VA..I already consider myself a success!

I've over come many obstacles in life, many nay-sayers and have beaten the odds that were stacked against me.

Success is being your own boss, taking care of your family and home, being where the Lord wants you to be and not caring what others say about you.

Success is being honest, working hard, keeping the faith.

Motto:
Eyes to the hill,
Ears open to your mentors promptings,
Arms willing to help others,
Feet planted firmly to the ground.

To Your Success!!

A Day in the Life of a Virtual Assistant

Posted 02-05-2009 at 01:56 PM by marketingva
As a virtual assistant I can tell you that no 2 days are the same! Everyday starts the same, I login to my email account to check on my clients.
Once I answer those emails, I check the status of the various helpdesk tickets.

Once that task is completed the fun begins! I can always tell when my clients are online working because that's when it gets exciting! I will have at least 5 tabs opened, 2 or 3 instant messages going, the phone ends up ringing and I have family members that are calling for my attention.

I only allow myself to sit at my desk 1 hour at a time before taking a break. Every break lasts between 15 minutes to 30 minutes. I will vary what I do with each break; for instance, I will jog in...
