Each month a multi VA guest that hires subcontractors will be available to answer questions. This will be a benefit to both parties. The subcontractor will be able to ask questions such as how to improve their skills, find coaching & mentoring programs, how to win a proposal and any others they stumble across. For the contractor they can get to know some of the available subcontractors, promote their programs, establish an understanding of what they need and many more.
- Do you currently have subcontractors you work with? When you chose the services you subcontract what was the reason behind it? Ex., There’s not enough time, wasn’t something you cared to do, want an expert in that area?
- Is it necessary to get some kind of education or certification in an area a sub wants to offer services in?
- Do you think there are services that are in demand that subcontractors should offer? Why is that?
- Let’s go back to question 3 and talk about the top 3 in demand services. Can you tell us what’s all involved with offering those types of services?
- Do you have a procedure manual that subs follow when providing some of the services?
- Do you think subcontractors can offer to general of services? Do they need to get specific in their niche?
- Is there such a thing as a learning curve? Let’s say you have a subcontractor providing other services. Would you allow them to train or learn with you so they can start offering more services?
- Can you tell us some of the more general or common services subcontractors can offer?
- Are there some services that are more temporary and some that are continuous? Can you give examples of each?
- Would you hire someone with experience doing a certain service or someone that has a passion for being a good sub?
