Clients in Unusual Places Post #4

Until last week I thought the oddest place I had found a client was when I took my son go kart racing for his birthday. As odd as that was, I just got a new client I will be working with in the next couple of weeks.
The reason it is so odd for me is because it was a referral from my mother-in-law. You are probably thinking, "Serita, what is so strange about that?" The reason it is so strange is because she can't even understand what I do! I may hunt high and low for clients online and locally, but all she does is go get her hair done and start telling this hair dresser how she needs to hire me. Now most of you may not find that unusual, but I do. The funny thing is they are ready to jump on board. So not only have I got a super supportive mom-in-law, but one that apparently can sell ice to eskimos! There aren't too many people that I know can sell a service without even understanding what it is. I'm thinking I need to send her out to meet the local businesses for me!

Thanks Janine! I thought it was so funny that she is going around telling people, "I don't understand what it is that she does, but you need her", and they are hiring me! How funny!

Can I borrow your mother-in-law? A little direct marketing is what I need, but I'm too timid to come right out and say "this is what I do...if you ever require assistance give me a call...

Serita:
Terrific mother-in-law! My mother-in-law has passed away but she would have done the same thing. Nice to be loved and appreciated. Penelope |
