Driving Traffic to My Blog (Post 3)

As I have been blogging for several months now on my website, and am doing it consistently, driving traffic to that blog has been tedious at best.
My Active Rain blog on the Active Rain real estate boards receives comments almost every time I post. In an effort to get some of those comments into my website blog, I have begun copying only the first paragraph of my website blog to the Active Rain blog with a read more hyperlink. This is bringing more traffic, but alas, they return to Active Rain to leave the comment.
I too have added numerous keywords, all dealing with real estate virtual assistance, and am now working on back links. This is tedious at best.
My latest effort, one I have not completed but expect to finish within the week, is a free E-book for all new newsletter subscribers. I am also receiving traffic from E-zine articles, as I am one of the many authors that contribute there.
I believe these marketing strategies are increasing my traffic and will continue to bring more and more visitors to my website and my blog.

I too post on ActiveRain and have found that folks find my way back to my site through these posts. I also find that posting to other people's blogs on AR is also helpful. Just a thought...do you receive Active Rain's Daily Drop e-newsletter? I set up a separate folder for this publication as it is a daily piece which can become overwhelming at times but several times a week I do click on the most active posts which are listed at the top of the Drop and make comments there. In other words, I like to comment the popular posts. Perhaps you are already doing this. The free e-book sounds wonderful. Post back and let us know how that addition to your portfolio helps. Thanks Janine! I'm lad you are enjoying my blog here on VAF. I actually do receive the Daily Drop. I was commenting on some of the more popular posts, but have gotten busy and had stopped. I will get back to that after I get a few of my larger projects finished.
