I am blogging today my concerns of our future as independent contractors. It is up to us to contact our congressman and let them know the importance of what we do and why we do it. You as an independent contactor in your needs to respond quickly. What am I referring to is as follows:
The Employee Misclassification Prevention Act, legislation targeting abuses of the employee/independent contractor classifications, has been introduced again in both houses of Congress on April 22. The bill was presented by Representative Lynn Woolsey (D-Cal.) in the House on April 22, 2010, and by Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) in the Senate on the same day.
Like the Taxpayer Responsibility, Accountability, and Consistency Act of 2009,...
