Problem Wordpress: Can't seem to get twittertools to shorten post urls in twitter posts - Virtual Assistant Forums

I have a wordpress themed blog. I installed twittertools and set up the API from bit.ly Everytime I post a new entry, the title of the post goes out to twitter but the link is not shortened; in fact it is not highlighted to be clickable from twitter. It shows just the title of the post.

Does anyone have any solutions?

hi Janine -
I don't use twittertools, instead I use Twitterfeed.com - it's the same as what you're using PLUS it links to blog posts to your Twitter profile [with the links!

Janine,
I've noticed some glitches in twittertools lately too. Make sure you have current version installed, other than that it might be the recent WP upgrade that's causing the issues. I'm still researching this myself & will let you know if I find a fix/answer.
