I wanted to share a WordPress plugin that I discovered - InstantUpgrade. I know there's another upgrade plugin but what I liked about InstantUpgrade is that you can upgrade to any version of WordPress and it seems to have had great results for others. Most discussions that I've read say that you should not go straight to 2.7 from an older version (back past 2.6); that you should do incremental upgrades. This definitely fit my needs since I was still on 2.5.

I went from 2.5 to 2.6 in 30 seconds; activated my plugins one by one and tested each; deactivated plugins once more and in another 30 seconds I was up to 2.7. Upgraded my plugins and activated them one by one. Now I'm done and wondering what the heck I was so worried about!

So if you're like me and still back in an older verison of WordPress, this is a great solution. Then you'll be done with upgrade hassles due to WordPress 2.7 now having auto-upgrades.

Not sure if that's the exact instant update I used, but I want to thank the unknown developer! I've struggled with the update as Yahoo is my host. The back-and-forth drove me nuts and I never completed an update, till last week.

Thank heavens it's in place!
