Default WordPress Elegant Themes - Anyone Tried?
Has anyone used Nick Roach's Elegant Themes. Elegant Themes

For $19.95/year you have unlimited access to 19 WordPress themes along with any additional themes he adds throughout the year, and a support forum. The reviews I'm finding look great. The idea of a club is a great concept.

If you have multiple blogs and want different looks, this is a bargain. Would love to hear if anyone is using Elegant Themes.

Okay, free themes are available in large numbers. But if there is a bug, or if we'd like to customize it, one has to pay for it. It's better to go for paid themes to save time thus money!

I custom make my blog backgrounds and the few I do for clients. If you have a graphics program, it is well worth taking a shot at.

There are a lot of free and "bug free" themes; you can look at Wordpress's theme directory and even see working samples of these themes...

Most theme developers are smart enough to test their themes before they publish them.

Wordpress itself is free and I honestly don't think you should pay for themes unless you want something very professional and unique with more features than a normal theme...

You also have the option to create your own but you will need to learn HTML/CSS to style them effectively and if you know PHP, then you will be able to add all sorts of goodies to your theme

By the way, if you want a unique theme, you will have to pay a developer to create a custom one for you, even if you buy a paid theme from a theme directory, it won't be unique, that is, there are users who bought it already

I know this post is a a few months old but I just wanted to say that I subscribe to elegant themes and love them. They are really professional themes and I use them quite often for personal sites i work on. I actually am using one of the themes for my va site too.

For me it was worth the investment to have a theme that is a little bit different than the free themes out there. I do use free themes too but i will renew my membership when my year runs out too.

=-)

I'm going to step in here and say that I've used Elegant Themes for one of my clients and have found this to be an 'in between solution' to obtaining a free theme and fiddling with the CSS yourself vs. paying someone to customize it for you. It is sort of an 'in between' solution.

The reason I say this is because the themes on elegant can be semi-customized somewhat so that not all the sites end up looking exactly the same. But what was invaluable to me was the support I received in making the changes. They answered my questions and offered code solutions, which was just what I needed.

If you don't write CSS and don't plan on learning than this could be a good solution.

Although elegant sells the same themes to other people, obviously not making it a completely customized solution there are some items which can be tweaked easily to make the themes fairly unique.

I wish they had more of a selection, though.

Currently using one of the elegant themes (eBusiness) in my blog. I'd say elegant themes are the most customizable themes, I've seen so far with little changes in the options panel (e-panel) provided along with the themes.

My current VA site is an Elegant Theme theme that I customized. It looks nothing like the original except the menu maybe. Hey, without looking at the source code can anyone tell which Elegant Theme it is?

Difficult to guess without looking at the source code. Good job in customizing an Elegant variant.
