I installed twittertools and set up the API from bit.ly Everytime I post a new entry, the title of the post goes out to twitter but the link is not shortened; in fact it is not highlighted to be clickable from twitter. Make sure you have current version installed, other than that it might be the recent WP upgrade that's causing the issues.
