Hello to All Bloggers and Bloggers-to-Be!
Welcome to the last Blog Challenge Contest for 2010!
For those who are not familiar with
VAF’s Blog Challenge Contest or are new to the boards, nearly every month [with the exception of the last three months] I have posted a blog challenge question for VAF members in which to respond.
Members post their responses to the
blog area where fellow members read and comment. At the end of the month, a winner is selected.
The
blogging champ receives one of two fantastic book selections
and proud ownership of the official VAF Monthly Blog Challenge Badge to display on a website or blog.
When the 6-post or 12-post mark has been reached, a special 6-post and 12-post VAF badge will also be awarded!
For this end-of-the-year contest, rather than post a question we will leave 2010 with a
pot luck challenge question meaning members can blog about any topic at all. However, if a topic does not come to mind, here are a few suggestions:
- What social media platform do you prefer and why?
- Tell us about your best client experience (no names) and why.
- If you only knew then what you know now…what would that be? Tell us about it.
- What are the attributes of your ideal client?
The winner of the December end-of-the-year special Blog Challenge takes home one of two fantastic book selections:
Building a WordPress Blog People Want to Read by Scott McNulty
OR
Small Business Rules by Mathew Dickerson Reviewed

We have a few members who are quite close to reaching the 6-post mark!
Plus, the winner gets Major Bragging Rights!!!
===>>> Important Reminders <<<====
Please be sure to review the contest guidelines, available at the
Blogging Challenge Group page before you post!
Please review
every guideline as blog posts are judged with this criteria:
Following instructions
Clarity
Grammar and Punctuation
And, be sure to join the
blog challenge group if you have not already. You will need to post back on the group page with our post information (see #4 in the guidelines).
<<==Important
Remember that your blog posts at VAF are indexed in the search engines just like your forum posts, so use that to your advantage. Always check your posts for quality content, good grammar and punctuation. Blog posts are an extension of you and your business. Your ideal potential clients just might read [and love!] your blog posts.
Entries are due by December 31st, 2010 midnight EST.
If you haven't used the member blogs feature here at VAF yet, you'll find quick and easy how-to instructions on the
Blogging Challenge Group page.
Good Luck!
Janine
A special note: I am really hoping that EVERYONE who is reading this will post a blog entry so that this contest can continue in 2011.
Unfortunately, we have had low participation this year in the contest and if we do not have a two-figure participation number in this particular blog challenge for December, the program may be
cancelled.
If you are new to blogging, posting here on VAF is one of the best ways to ‘test the blogging waters’. You are among friends who can offer tips, ideas and encouragement.
So I ask you to please post your last blog post here on VAF for 2010!
Thank you to those who have participated in the blog challenge contest this past year. Your posts have been inspiring and enjoyable. I cannot thank you enough for sharing with us.
Janine
