Welcome to the quarterly VAF Blog Challenge Contest thread for 2011!
For those who are not familiar with VAF’s Blog Challenge Contest we have been posting a blog challenge for VAF members on a quarterly basis.
Members post their responses to the
blog area where fellow members read and comment. At the end of the month, a winner is selected.
The
blogging champ receives a fantastic book selection and proud ownership of the official VAF Monthly Blog Challenge Badge to display on a website or blog.
When the 6-post or 12-post mark has been reached, a special 6-post and 12-post VAF badge will also be awarded!
The
pot luck challenge topic has been the most popular which means that members can blog about
any topic at all.
The winner of the April 2011 challenge will receive:
"Building a WordPress Blog People Want to Read" by Scott McNulty
The winner will also receive (in addition to the book)
a three month featured link in the
VAF Directory
As moderator of this blog challenge contest, I would personally like to offer a prize from my coffers to encourage my foodie VA colleagues to enter. The winner will also receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Restaurant.com.
Plus, the winner gets Major Bragging Rights here on VAF!!!
This is fantastic way to promote your business on one of the best SEO’d virtual assistant sites on the web.
===>>> Important Reminders <<<====
Please be sure to review the contest guidelines, available at the
Blogging Challenge Group page before you post!
Please
review every guideline as blog posts are judged with this criteria:
- Following instructions
- Clarity
- Grammar and Punctuation
- Creativity
- Originality
<<==Important==>>Be sure to join the
blog challenge group if you have not already. (This is a requirement.) You will need to post back on the group page with our post information (see #4 in the participation guidelines).
Remember that your blog posts at VAF are indexed in the search engines just like your forum posts, so use that to your advantage. Always check your posts for quality content, good grammar and punctuation. Often times judging between two or more close-winning posts hinges upon whether the author checks for grammar and punctuation.
Blog posts are an extension of you and your business. Your ideal potential clients just might read [and love!] your blog posts.
Entries are due by midnight EST April 29th, 2011 and will be announced on or before May 4th, 2011.
If you haven't used the member blogs feature
here at VAF yet, you'll find quick and easy how-to instructions on the
Blogging Challenge Group page. Remember, your posts must appear on the
VAF blogging page and then referenced on the
Blog Challenge Group page.
Good Luck!
You may PM me at anytime with questions or you may post your questions and comments here.

The next challenge dates will be August and December.
