Default Plug-In Question
I'm almost embarassed to ask this but here goes.

I'm using Wordpress and installed a form/contact me plug-in. It's installed correctly and I have it activated. But for the life of me, when I go to create a page, I cannot figure out how to get the actual form into my page?? I think I need to take a break!! Would anyone happen to know how to do this? I know this has to be a simple thing, right? Thanks so much!!

There are so many contact form plugins for Wordpress and it's hard to help without knowing which one you are using.

I just installed http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7/ for a blog and it's very simple, I highly recommend it.

But once you've installed it, what do you do to get it to show up in your new page or post?

Go to:
Your Admin Panel > Tools > Contact Form 7

Then you will see in a brown background, there is a simple line of code that you must paste into your page or blog post.

You can also customize the form right on that page.

I hope this helps.

I really appreciate your help. I'm not sure why I'm not getting this as everything else has been running smoothly for me with WP. I have 2.7 version and no problems until now. I downloaded the form you provided above.... unzipped it... and uploaded the folder to my wp-contents/plug-ins directory.... but it's not showing in my admin panel for some reason - nor is it there for me to "activate" it. And my other plug-ins that *are* showing are just not letting me put them into my pages... it's not showing up on my admin panel > tools. I don't get it. I just re-booted but that didn't help either. Odd!

So when you open your plugins (it doesn't have a dash) folder, you must be able to see "contact-form-7" folder (no quotes), can you?

The installation instruction works fine for me:

What is being FTP'd is an unzipped folder called contact-form-7.1.9.3. ... into the correct directory. But then it's not showing up in my admin panel under plugins at all. HOWEVER I got my other contact form to show up.... my problem with that was I wasn't scrolling down all the way to see ALL the activated plugins and the codes to insert. But this contact form 7 I'm just not seeing. I'm going to re-upload and see what happens.

Inside the folder contact-form-7.1.9.3 there is a folder contact-form-7, you must upload that one...

You're a genius!!!!!!! It worked!! It seems that contact-form-7 *was* uploaded as well, but somehow got put into a sub directory which made it "invisible" I guess!! Thank you SO much! You have no idea how happy I am and can go finally take a shower and warm up now!! LOL Thanks again
