I think it is a blog anyway.
The $7-10 per hour assistant strikes again!
I have a Google alert set up for the phrase “virtual assistant” so when press releases, blog posts or articles are crawled by the Google spiders, I receive a notice.
And today I received yet another alert which showed that an off-shore assistant may NOT be the best thing for a solopreneur. Let me explain:
The following items were all included in a Press Released posted by an off-shore company encouraging entrepreneurs to use them as their Personal Virtual Assistant of choice.
(1) The title of the Press Release says “Vitual” rather than “Virtual” - and this error is repeated again in the text of the release.
(2) The first line reads: ” At XXX we believe in developing our team, and ideas are the vocal point in our staff. ”
Pardon me?
(3) ” Most of those inspiring peeps I learnt from the speakers at the seminar “.
Again, pardon me? A Press Release from a professional should not include slang like “peeps” and should use proper English (if the release is presented in English, as this one was).
(4) ” We are in Outsourcing, and help you with a difference finding made-to-measure staff for you“.
?????
Is this really the way you want YOUR company represented? This is what you get for $7-10 per hour.
Consider that when you see the cheaper rates and don’t be fooled by the promise of high quality assistance for pennies per day.
