A blog is a journal of your daily involvement in something, so I guess you should be able to come up with content just based on your daily work. I saw a really good VA blog the other day, here. Maybe it will give you some ideas.

I am going to check out your blog now. I think it's a great idea and have to learn how to 'blog' myself. I'm looking forward to seeing your new blog too.

Blog's can be great tools for demonstrating your expertise. Utilise any articles you write as a part of your blog, spark conversation and comments for SEO and post regularly. Blogs tend to feature higher in search engine rankings than websites - Google loves blogs due to the fresh flow of content. Best of luck with it :-)

I usually blog at least once a month. I blog if I have ideas on how to help someone as a VA, how to start a VA business, what I did that helped me, advertising ideas, new networking events or events I attended, new clients, etc. Check out mine at www.webmss.com on the contact page. Suggestions and opinions are welcome.

Hi,

Maybe you can blog about your industry. Are there upcoming events that you plan on attending?

Regarding event planning, some topics that come to mind are :reunions, weddings, corporate events.
Establish yourself as the expert in your field.
Perhaps write a review on any experiences you have had with caterers, florists, rental companies, venues, photographers, etc. Maybe request an interview from one of them and post that on your blog.

Are there certain venues in your area that you could take photographs of such as the banquet hall, historical homes that offer rentals for events, grounds, rooms, etc. and write a little desciption?

You could write about the trends in weddings such as use of videographers, color trends. I saw a blog post the other day about someone writing about the use of a Wedding Cost Estimator tool and how it is a useful tool for brides to calculate the cost of a wedding.

You could write "Top 5 things you should think about when planning an event, a wedding, a family reunion" or something like that.
Holidays are coming up, can you give your writers tips on planning holiday meals?
Good luck to you!!
Stacey
