I am going to be creating a blog for a friend and she is NOT computer savvy. She will be using the site to showcase her horses for sale. Do blogs have restrictions for selling stuff or advertising this way? We could mock it up so it doesn't have any sale details and just looks like a showcase. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had opinions on which blogs work best and are easiest to update/upload things as she'll be handling all of that once the site is up. Thanks in advance.

I think Blogger (aka Blogspot) is relatively easy for someone that has no experience blogging.

I wanted to second the recommendation for Blogger. I've been using it for general family updates and it is very user friendly.

If she is selling horses, it may be beneficial to link the site to one of the many classified sites out there for cross exposure. I know there are Equine specific classified sites all over the net.

I also agree with Blogger. It's very friendly.

I've never used Blogger before, but have been using WordPress a fair bit. Perhaps check out both of them and then make a decision which you feel would be easier for her.

I have been wondering the same thing. I have limited funds and could use blogs for several different things that I have going on. I use blogger but only because a client that I have uses it and I post to it. Is wordpress a fairly easy alternative?

I find that WordPress is a great blogging place. It's free and really easy to use. I have 4 blogs of my own on wordpress.com as well as work on a blog for a client on wordpress.

Check it out. I've used blogger before and didn't really like it compared to wordpress.
