I am not sure if this post needs to be in Blpgging, Website Coding or Social Media Marketing - so I first apologize if I placed this in the wrong spot
Now, onto my question. I am using the the SexyBookmarks plugin on a website I designed. When someone uses the Facebook Icon to share a link - the post automatically grabs whatever image or content is on the page and includes it in the post on Facebook. Now I know in most instances you can opt to not include a thumbnail. However, it seems to be happening when it's more of a direct share.
Second part - I shared a link on a Fan Page and while the thumbnail was correct - Facebook pulled content from an old version of the page into the status update. It was not relevant to update at all.
So, with regards to the Sexybookmarks plugin is there a setting or a way to make it so when someone shares a link using the plugin, it doesn't default to just any old image that is on the page.
Not sure about the Facebook status update one and if there is anything that can actually be done.
Thank you!
