So someone posted about this on the VA Blog Carnival a couple of weeks ago, so I had to go try it out. I've been "dropping" my EntreCard for a week now and I've already seen an increase in traffic.

Basically, EntreCard is a community where the currency is credits. You "purchase" advertising for your blog with the credits you earn (or buy, as of yesterday). It's easy to earn credits. You can drop your card on other EntreCard wdigets, and find some new blogs in the process!

It's super-cool and I recommend it for ANY blogger looking to gain traffic and/or monetize your blog.

P.S. To save you some time poking around the EntreCard site, I'll share how EntreCard makes money. They sell ad space in the form of card drops to really large advertisers. The advertisers' ad shows up in your dropped card inbox. So the advertisers are reaching thousands of people through EntreCard's service. Cool, huh? This guy's a genius! Wish I'd thought of it...


Edit: I should also mention that you can sell your own credits for cash, give them away as gifts, or host contests and give credits as prizes! Cool, huh!?

I've been looking into this (also after the blog carnival post! - see, it's useful and getting read! yay!). Did you design your card? What program did you use? Would you be willing to share what your card looks like?
