hi guys.
I've decided to go and create a blog on wordpress.com.... BUT there's a HUGE snag. I already have a blog created on there as julianeal.wordpress.com but I've forgotten my username and password that I used to create the site. What's more I've forgotten my email address that I used to create the blog!!!! How annoying is that?! [grrr!]

anyway.... seeing as my chosen username is taken [nooo!], is it possible to use something similar like julia-neal, julianealva, juliava or julesneal as my username - would that be acceptable?? And, when I do buy my domain, can i choose my domain name [i.e. can it be totally different] to my current url?

Julia - have you tried contacting WordPress help to see if they can assist you with getting back into your original blog? If you do decide to create a new one, I think any of the options you listed for your username would be fine - although you might want to avoid jules unless that is a name people know you by. Main point - make it easy for people to find, so make it something people would know, and something easy to remember.

And yes, when you buy your domain, it can be any name you want it to be. In fact, you might want to go ahead and buy it now so no one else gets it. I bought mine in March, and although I did use the email for it, I didn't get hosting until September. At least I knew it was there when I was ready to use it.

hi!! luckily I did get my blog back!!! (YAY!!) - but there's a problem. I accidentally deleted my domain in the summer and I can't get it back til March...... which is a pain.... [and I can't get my other domain that I want til then either!].... so I have to stick with the wordpress.com domain until then....
