This is geared towards those of you that have regular blog interviews on your sites. I'm considering interviewing companies that would add valuable resources or advise to the industry I'm focusing on.

Do you think people enjoy this type of content and would keep coming back to see the guests? Video is big now but I don't want to take too much of the guest's time up. Should I offer this as an alternative?

I know you're looking for input from bloggers who do regular interviews, but thought I'd chime in anyway - from a reader's perspective. I think it's a good idea - I find interviews very valuable. But it might depend a lot on your particular audience and industry.

Videos are great because people come alive and seem more real somehow. Offering options is good though, because you may find that not everyone wants to be in a video.

I don't do them regularly, but I have done them often and yes, it has been worthwhile for my readers and I've learnt a lot in the process too.

I used to produce an audio podcast every couple of days called "Technology Gazette". I interviewed numerous software geeks and entrepreneurs for about 30 minutes.

I find producing these interviews helped to build the credibility and trust with my audience. It has allowed me to connect with many more people then a simple blog post could, the idea of an interview allows the audience to hear more then one side of the conversation.

Perhaps you could start with some initial interviews in a panel like format. Take 10-15 minutes to discuss an interesting topic, those types of shows will always get good attention from the web.

Yes! I love reading/listening to interviews and think they are a great way to present information-based content with a more personal slant.

I also love reading interviews. Not sure who I would interview yet for my VA site, but I have posted interviews on some of my other sites. Seems others find them interesting too!
