So, my recent post about humanitarian organizations has been crazy popular. So, I've been thinking about profiling a different organization each month. I'm thinking about putting together a list of questions to send to a bunch and then posting the responses on my blog.

The questions I've come up with so far are:

When/How did the org start?
What is your primary mission/goal?
What do you consider your biggest achievement/success to date?
What makes your org different from others?
What opportunities are available for people who want to get involved?

Can you think of other questions to ask? What do you think about this in general?

I know it's not business related, but I'm ok with that. My blog is a mix of business and personal interests.

I think this is a great idea - and there's nothing wrong with highlighting socially responsible organizations and businesses in your own business blog...too many blogs are cut and dried professionalism-to-a-fault. This will make a nice departure (and truly interesting reading)

I think it's a great idea as well. I would only suggest that instead of asking what makes them different from others that maybe you ask what makes their organization unique. This gets away from it being a comparison type question and more into just highlighting the special attributes of their organization. You might also ask them what they have in the way of news updates that people could plug into, i.e. do they have a newsletter or blog. (Besides maybe if they don't have one, you could always offer your services to them or you could volunteer your services if it was a cause you were really passionate about.)
