We have a new blog challenge question for the month of May which has been posted on the Blog Challenge Group Page. Here is the

The winner will also receive a special
6-post and 12-post VAF badge which you can use on your blog, website and/or VAF profile when the 6-post or 12-post mark has been reached.
New Guidelines
In order to streamline the posting process, we have a few new guidelines:
1) You can now title your Blog Challenge post using any verbiage you wish. Previously, the title had to include the challenge question topic but now you can be more creative with your titles.
2) You no longer have to number your post within the title when you post to the blog area. [But your post will be numbered in the group area. More about that in #4 below.]
3) Once you have posted your response to the challenge question in the blog area, you will need to copy the corresponding link to that post and head over to the blog group area. Find the post titled,
May Blog Challenge Response Thread.
4) Open up that particular group thread, copy in the title to your post, add the corresponding link, post number, your name and company name. Then hit Submit.
Your entry in the group Blog Challenge Response Thread will look like this:
Blog Post Title [linked back from blog area]

SEO within the title which will only help to get your post noticed!
5) Prizes must be claimed by the 15th of the following month. So if you post to the blog area, please check back to see if you are the winner.
Our judges will look for:
• clarity of your response
• following directions
• good grammar and punctuation
• creative execution
You can post up to
two entries per challenge in any given month.
It is important to remember that your blog posts at VAF are indexed in the search engines just like your forum posts,
so use that to your advantage. Blog like your business depends on it! Blog posts are an extension of you and your business. Your ideal potential clients just might read [and love!] your blog posts which means you may make contact(s) when you least expect it.
Please remember to properly check your posts for quality content, good grammar and punctuation.
Here’s how to post a blog on VAF.
Click the Blogs tab from the main VAF navigation menu. The blog section will open up.
Post To Your Blog is on the left side under
Your Blog. Click
Post to Your Blog and copy your entry there. Use the
Preview button to check your post before clicking
Post Now located at the bottom of the page.
You must be a
Blog Challenge Group member in order to post to the Challenge each month. If you are already a group member, please subscribe to the
Group discussion notifications. If you are just signing up here are the instructions:
To subscribe to receive notice of
new discussions/posts in a group go to the group page and you will see where the list of discussions begins. There is a link '
Group Tools' to the far right. Click that and choose '
Subscribe to Group'. Winners will be posted to the Group page so if you would like notification, please make sure you are connected.
Entries are due by May 31st, 2010 midnight EST.
