I also want to add that if you open an www.istockphoto.com account (no credit card needed), every month the site offers free images for vector, photos, music and video clips. When I first started out and had little to invest in purchasing credits on istock I downloaded all the images and was able to use them to create a slide show and use them on my site at no charge.

Linda, you can download those which are already on the site. You won't receive any notification rather, make sure you sign up for the newsletter they send which triggers me to check their website (if I haven't already) for a free image download. The free stuff goes up monthly and the newsletter goes out monthly so I use that as my reminder.

But there are free images, vectors, video clips and music you can download now.

Also, I use their $1 bin for a quick image purchase which are often very good as well.
