Janine - This is a really good question. Problem is, clients often don't understand the hours it takes. To my mind, you have to make them understand that their social media content is absolutely founded upon their regular input. So a very early step in working with them is to agree on how you're going to get updates from them. You can send a list of questions every so often, or have a scheduled phone call, or any one of a million ways to contact and get the info from them. But truly, if you don't base the work on their own thoughts and ideas, it will sound manufactured and false (no matter how much research you do on your own).
