PR Web - for press release distribution
I write press releases on occaision for clients and have always used PR Web to handle the distribution end of it.

PROS:
The site is quick and easy to use (you can set up an account as a service provider, or set up an account for each client) and prices are based on the level of distribution so a client can choose a package that fits their budget.

Simply write your client's press release, give it a good title and synopsis and then login to use the site's easy submission form.
There are fields for keywords and a selection of distribution options based on location and industry.
You can also upload a logo or other related image to go out along with your release.

When you set your budget it gives you options for RSS feed distribution, podcast distribution, which search engines will be included, etc.

A well written press release, picked up by the search engine news pages, can reach millions of potential customers, not to mention gets your (or your client's) name out there, provides a direct link back to the related website, and is a major boost to your credibility (IF done right!)

The login/account creation page and more info about PR Web is here.

CONS:
None that I've experienced! I've been using this site/service for three years and love it! My clients love it, and it gives me more experience in writing for this kind of situation.
