I think creating your own mailing list is definitely the best way to go. You can then guarantee that you're reaching exactly who you need to reach.

I wouldn't use VistaPrint for your postcards though. SLPrintCenter.com is not only cheaper but also much better quality. Their postcards generated more sales than the ones we got from VistaPrint... by far
