I recently purchased the
SEO for Dummies book and am very pleased with it. I love books so finding a new one to add to my reference library is a small joy.
This book tells you what to look for, how to fix it and explains how search engines work. I already had a limited understanding of search engines and websites but this book has made the lightbulb above my head turn on and glow a little brighter.
The book lists online resources and cool add-ons, tools and tips. Try finding it used on Amazon or Alibris. It retails for $29.99 at Borders but I used a 40% off coupon.
You can probably check it out at your library if you can refrain from highlighting and starring everything you want to try. I couldn't.
