Default Re: Website Content??
I feel for you Kena, I really do. I have a website that will be done soon too and have not begun on writing my new content!

I found writing the content for my VA website to be an ever evolving process. The content that is there now is not the content that was there in the beginning. Originally, my content was just a voice -- with a strong stress on A Voice -- it was not MY voice. I am still not 100% satisfied with it; overall, my website is always ever-evolving!

My advice -- take it one page at a time and go slow. Sit down with a pad and paper (forget Word or any other computer word processing document). Find a place free from distractions, where it is just you and your thoughts. Perhaps sit in your favorite chair or by the window. Then write freely, don't worry about grammar or how you sound (cleaning up the text will come later), just get your thoughts on paper. And don't be afraid to toot your own horn when it comes to the About Me page. Once you have something down, put your pen down and walk away. Do something else. Then come back and re-read what you wrote and start editing (paying careful attention to grammar, etc).

This is something I would do when writing papers for college and again with stories, poems and anything else I have written. Please know, I am not a writer at all and others on here that do it professionally will certainly have more sound advice -- writing is something I have just always enjoyed.

Don't stress over it and if you still feel overwhelmed, there is nothing wrong with asking for help or having someone either write your content for you or edit what you have written.

I bet you are excited that your website will be done soon. Woohoo!
