Re: CNN's "Your Money" - Areas of Business Needing People Now; Tips on Finding a Job
Thanks for sharing. I heard about this through my father who rarely watches such things...he mentioned that a lot of companies are looking to outsource to save money and that the virtual industry as a whole is expected to boom in the next few years. Which basically means those of us who are in now have a head start and are hands above those that will try to break into the industry as it sky rockets.
Companies are getting the message that virtual workers can and do do the same work as standard employees without all the extra costs and time. With so many skilled individuals out there contracting the industry has gotten a lot of good publicity and the trust level has increased. I can remember only a few years ago employers bulking at the idea of virtual workers, fearing that the work wouldn't get done, hours would be exaggerated, etc. They are learning that in reality it is our office counter parts that are exaggerating their time and getting less accomplished in a day.
Its good to be here for a change!
