Default Re: What's in your home office?
Do you work mostly with online products or do you have a fully stocked room complete with fax machine, copier, etc.

I have a stocked office, but I do occassionally use the online products as well.

If you work with hardware, what items do you have in your office? Which ones do you feel you just couldn't live without?

My new computer!

Number one favorite piece of equipment?

My printer

If you work with software, what items do you have in your computer and which ones do you feel you just couldn't live without?

My virtual office from officeroam

Number one favorite program?

Open Office

How is your home office set up for ease of use and comfort? What kind of furniture, setting, plants, decorations, etc. do you surround yourself with?

Right now it's being decluttered as I'm in the planning stage of my busienss.

Do you ever meet with clients at your home office? If so, how has this impacted your business for the better or worse?

No, and I don't think I plan to do so as I start up either.

Do you have a sep. phone line for your home office? If so, why do you feel this is important?

I plan to as I think it will be important to have the ability to leave work in the office and also help portray a professional appearance.

Do you have set office hours? If so, how did you decide what they would be and how do you ensure you and others maintain/respect them?

My hours will be typical office hours - 9-5 Monday to Friday with a personal and family understanding that I will also work weekends, early mornings and nights to accommodate my families schedules.

What do you most love about your home office?

Noting right now But I'm looking forward to loving the coziness of it all.

What do you like least about it?

It's not an office yet. I wish I could take a lot of the other things out of here (like the second desk) to make more room.

If you could suggest to a new VA how he or she might best utilize space at home to create a home office, what would your top three suggested guidelines be?

1. Plan your space based on the work you will be doing.
2. Utilize an L shaped desk
3. Use vertical space to keep the room organized.
