Re: Interesting controversy re: Virtual Assistant Industry Survey
Yes, I tried taking the survey and when you don't agree with their definition of what it is to be a Virtual Assistant then it ends the survey. This happens on the second page of the 15 page survey.
At first I was a bit taken back by this as it seems very exclusionary. However, upon thinking about it further, I decided that this is fully their prerogative to collect data in this manner and to select their survey sample this way...AS LONG AS they clearly state in their results that this was their methodology, which I have my doubts will happen. I signed up to get my free copy of the survey so that I could see just how they explain their methodology.
They claim to be the largest comprehensive survey of the industry, but they are not. They are a large survey of a certain select types of VAs in the industry. They are a survey of a select sample of those who fit their definition of VA.
I completely agree with Erin's comments in her blog on this one.
