Default Re: Outlook 2007
This very problem nearly caused me to throw my notebook on the floor!

I have high-speed cable Internet access. For no other reason than just because, I am required to have an email account with the cable company [Suddenlink] in order to ship email from robinsdesktop.com through their servers to my desktop. Suddenlink did not send a notification to me when this became their standard, so I went for almost a week trying to figure it out. In the add account mine looks like this:

Mail Server
Incoming mail server POP3: pop.bizmail.yahoo.com (Yahoo is my domain host)
Outgoing mail server SMTP: smtp.suddenlink.net (Suddenlink is my Internet Service Provider)

Outlook doesn't "host" it retrieves. Your email will remain on your domain hosts server until Outlook draws it down. You also have to make sure you don't check the box that leaves copies on the server, unless you have a reason to. (Under "more settings, advanced") My notebook is set to leave mail on the server, but that is by design. Since I travel with my notebook I don't want to lose valuable email if I drop it or it is stolen or something. My desktop PC draws down all my email.
