Thanks for that Lanel, I think that some of your points works with all VAs no matter what their niche.

You have made some great points. I agree with you about getting referrals from previous employers or family in a start-up situation. This is something I have to do, I have done some work for family but have not ask for referrals from them.

Being flexible but firm is also something that I have to get to grips with. Being "too" flexible is asking for problems down the line with some clients as they can keep pushing boundaries, learning when to be firmer with them is a hard thing to do, this is where, I think, having written agreements comes into play. It sets up boundaries before they become a problem.
