Paypal will nearly always (if not always) address you by name (or by business name) in an email to you.

Is the address that the email was sent to your official paypal email address? I have an email address (using my domain name) that I only use for paypal. It's not published anywhere and it's not a typical email address name (info@, paypal@, etc). This does make it easier to spot the phish.
