Do you mean you want to display blogs the same way we do on our
blogs page? That took quite a lot of custom coding to create the application and I don't know if there's any free option for general use...
Try searching for 'free blog aggregator' or similar on Google....
I'm not familiar with WP's backup options so hopefully Brianna will jump in here with some more info for you!
