I think it's a personal choice depending upon your learning style. Some people prefer to learn it all at once and would prefer the out of the box approach where as others prefer to utilize other means such as forums etc. Also timing and research come in to play, getting an out of the box system can save in those areas. There will always be pros and cons in every business decision, especially when it comes down to deciding what to spend as you invest in to your business. My recommendation would be list out the must-haves, need-to-haves and want-to-have for your business and I'm sure you will derive your answer! Good luck!
